Renovation of 50-year old Ft. Benning Headquarters building into the Maneuver Center of Excellence Headquarters.
The renovated building totals 500,000 s.f. on a 30 acre site and includes a 1,320 seat auditorium, 400 seat auditorium, four classrooms with 200 seats, six classrooms with 18 seats, a computer classroom, 180,000 sq. ft. administrative area, 8,000 sq. ft. for the Army & Air Force Exchange Service, 4,000 sq. ft. Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
The site-work included design for a remote swing-space location to house functions during construction.
Largest Corps of Engineer renovation project to receive LEED Gold certification.
Sustainable design features include more than 40,000 square feet of solar panels, a rainwater collection system used for irrigation and cooling.
