Carlton Center & Library

Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College

Eberly & Associates provided both Civil Engineering and Landscape Architecture services for the renovation of the 61,000 s.f. library and a new 24,000 s.f. fine arts building. Services included site engineering, grading, drainage, new utilities, landscape, hardscape and irrigation.

The Carlton Center project revives the hub for student life on campus with a modern building and public space. The new outdoor plaza’s design goal is to act as a heavily-used student space and provide future connections for campus planning projects. The landscape design is simple and elegant in design, but diverse in function.

The Fine Arts building and performance space is the anchoring building along the school’s historic “Sweetheart Circle” entrance. The building’s design and materials draw heavily from the three restored ABAC buildings located along the sweetheart circle. The hardscape and landscape is heavily rooted in the historic and traditional campus surroundings.
