Mike Lagat is a skilled Civil Engineer who is able to develop site solutions that balance the client’s interest, economy and regulatory requirements on complex building sites. He works well under pressure and is dedicated to meeting project schedules that are often compressed due to early Land Disturbance Permitting.
Mike is an integral part of Greg Delaney’s project Team and enjoys working on the Team’s diverse and complex projects. Mike is the Project Engineer for Ponce City Market Redevelopment. He began working on this project in 2011 with the main building renovation where he did the permitting and construction administration. On the later phases Mike has performed all project engineer functions from civil design, permitting and construction administration.
He was also the project civil engineer for the Turfgrass Research and Education Facility for the University of Georgia. This project spans the Athens, Griffin and Tifton campuses and required concurrent site design for the facilities on the three campuses. These new research and greenhouse facilities will support the University’s world-class turfgrass research and breeding program.
Mike’s other projects include the Emergency Department & In-Patient Expansion for Piedmont Fayette Hospital, Murphy Building Renovation and Newnan Campus Redevelopment for University of West Georgia and Price Gilbert Crosland Tower Renovation at Georgia Institute of Technology.
Mike is a project engineer with Eberly & Associates but also has the role of IT Liaison. In this position he is responsible for managing the firms day to day IT needs. He assesses issues and either remediates them himself or escalates to the firm’s IT provider. He evaluates new software and hardware and makes recommendations. Because of his expertise with AutoCAD he is the firm’s technical manager. Mike facilitates the firm’s CADD software implementation and manages CADD training for staff.
Mike enjoys spending time with his family, wife Lysbeth and 2 sons, and playing tennis in his free time.
As a project engineer, Will Greer is responsible for developing the Civil solutions for projects after the initial concepts phase through construction administration to completion. His first project in this role was the Outpatient Clinic Redevelopment for the Atlanta Veterans Administration in 2013. He worked closely with Brian Brumfield, PE, Principal in Charge, to develop the site design including surface parking, stormwater BMP’s and hydrology. Will developed an excellent working relationship with the contractor ensuring an uninterrupted construction process. Will’s teamwork approach and his commitment to making the project successful was evident. Earning him the position of site civil design for 60 11th Street a 500,000 s.f., 17-story mixed-use building in Midtown Atlanta. Will is currently performing CA on this project.
Will is also the project civil engineer for the Weapon Storage and Inspection Facility at the Marine Corps Logistics Base where he designed bio-filtration trenches to meet the new EISA standards. Other projects include 2 new industrial/distribution facilities in Blue Grass Valley Industrial Park in Forsyth County.
Will is a team player who likes to help others become more efficient in their work. Because of this, he has become one of the firm’s lead new hire trainers. Based on his project experience Will has enhanced the firm’s training manual with a thorough and systematic checklist for office, project and engineering procedures that he methodically delivers. Ensuring the Eberly Way is the standard.
When Will isn’t busy in the office, he enjoys disc golf and world travel. Ask him about his 2 vacations this year one to Japan and one to Hawaii!
