Ponce City Market

Ponce City Market

One of the largest adaptive reuse projects in the country.

Renovation of historic Sears Building to become a mixed use development with ground level retail and restaurants opening onto a public plaza.

Envisioned as a transited oriented urban center connected on the east to the Atlanta Beltline, pedestrian trailway to the Old Fourth Ward Park.

Adjoining roadway improvements included signalization, on street parking and modifications to right-of-way to accommodate widened, pedestrian oriented streetscapes on 3 sides.

Outdoor plazas designed on top of the parking deck and roof top gardens create public gathering spaces throughout development.

Storm water management systems include underground detention vaults, water quality improvement devices, and groundwater recharge infiltration systems, reducing the total runoff and runoff rates to meet the infrastructure requirements.

Environmentally sustainable features include recaptured rainwater for site irrigation.
