Martin Army Hospital Redevelopment, Ft. Benning

Charrette Analysis to determine the USACE need requirements for a new hospital on the most prominent site on the Ft. Benning Army Base.

Subsequent to the Charrette Analysis the team developed the USACE Design-Build RFP for the new hospital that includes inpatient, outpatient clinic, ancillary services, separate parking garages for visitors and staff, and a central utility plant.

This redevelopment projects is Eberly & Associates largest hospital project completed to date.

Site development and Civil Engineering RFP criteria included:

  • Design requirements to reduce grading and provide natural vistas to promote healing.
  • DOD standards including Antiterrorism/Force Protection stand-off requirements.
  • Required LEED Silver Certification using sustainable concepts such as a rainwater cistern for site irrigation

Participated in design/build team selection and provided engineering review for compliance with civil engineering RFP requirements.
