Ft. Benning Dedicates Maneuvers Center of Excellence Headquarters Facility

The Maneuver Center of Excellence Headquarters at Fort Benning, GA is the largest renovation project ($168 million, 500,000 sf) managed and executed in the Army. Eberly & Associates provided civil engineering services which included remote swing-space location to house functions during construction. The project is currently seeking LEED Silver certification.

As part of the Army's Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) 2005 plan, the U.S. Fort Knox based Army Armor School, moved to a co-located headquarters with the Infantry School at Fort Benning, Ga., in September 2011. The combination of the two schools forms the Maneuver Center of Excellence and brings approximately 28,000 more troops, civilian staffers, spouses, and children to Fort Benning and the surrounding community.
