Trees Atlanta Receives Exceptional Merit for Leadership in Sustainability

Living up to its mission of “greening Atlanta,” Trees Atlanta renovated an existing industrial building and converted it into a platinum LEED-certified headquarters. While this award focuses on Trees Atlanta’s new headquarters building, it also recognizes that since its inception in 1985, the organization has planted, distributed and cared for more than 100,000 trees and educated an average of 2,000 children and adults annually. Eberly & Associates provided the civil engineering and landscape architecture services for the rehabilitation project which features a green roof, an urban forestry demonstration site, porous landscaping pavers, rainwater collection, geothermal heating and more.
