March 31, 2011E&A Provides Engineering Support for the Proctor North Avenue Watershed Basin Visioning Study
Eberly & Associates has worked with Park Pride Atlanta for the past 18 months to develop a Green Infrastructure Conceptual Master Plan and Report for the Proctor Creek North Avenue (PNA) watershed.
Located to the west of the Georgia Dome and Downtown Atlanta, westward to include the proposed Atlanta Beltline, and north of the historic Atlanta University Center, northward to the Georgia Tech University campus, the 1,600 acre drainage basin is subject to persistent flooding, sewage overflows, and urban distress.
The Master Plan and Report details a comprehensive, community directed approach to improvements to the social, economic, and physical conditions in the basin through installation of a green network of flood control practices, greenways, parks, and streetscapes that will act as a stimulus and focus for the redevelopment of the English Avenue and Vine City neighborhoods.
